So you are thinking about starting a directory and you are new to this business.

So what is google trying to tell us? What happened during the last PR update? Is someone trying to make a point?
So let’s take things from the beginning. Google releases the PR as a way to measure the quality, strength and dynamic of a site. It was a way to separate the good sites from the weak ones so that ads distribution and search engine results presentation could be more effective.

Today I am going to present to you the first member of the Link Moz network. This is the Link Moz directory.
After being ranked with PR 3 during the last PR update Link Moz directory started its second promotion plan for the next 3 months. Quality, high PR links, combined with our increased promotion budget will have a great result as we close to the next PR update. We expect to get a PR 5, with double traffic, increased alexa ranking, and about 5 times more backlinks than one month ago.
Right now, the directory has more than 3500 submitted links, categorized in more than 630 categories. The admins are putting a lot of work into proper categorizing, and accepting and maintaining only quality links. Broken links are being removed and all actions are being taken to ensure that all submitters will get the maximum exposure, and their investment will pay back. Submitted sites are being reviewed within just hours, and we guarantee that this is the way it’s going to be for as long as the site remains put (and that is going to be a long time).
So Link Moz directory is here to stay, and the only way for us is up.
