BQTM web directory was placed second after our voting for the best newcomer directory. Let’s see what it has to offer.
BQTM was launched only a few months ago and what we were impressed by was not only it gained a PR 4 for its homepage, but also it gained an even higher PR (PR 5) for some of its categories. This is a proof of the work that has been done on link building (our check at Widexl returned a total of 15544 backlinks - Pretty good), adding value to all submitted links. (more…)

About two weeks ago we announced a contest that was going to be about the best newcomer directory of the first half of 2007. Just a few days ago the procedure was finished, and the voting has announced a winner. This is Einternetindex directory.
The first impression someone gets is a nice design, original, above all, which provides easy navigation through the directory. As someone starts doing so, he can see that every top category is followed by a content rich article, along with the subcategories. This will help a lot the directory’s ranking on search engines, bringing enough traffic thus giving value to all links listed there. (more…)

We now have the final results of the voting that was organized in order to decide for the best newcomer directory of the first half of 2007.
From our side we have to say a big thank you to all people who voted, and competed. We had some very good directories in this contest, and we realized that many people are working hard and it shows. It surely takes a lot to step out of the crowd, and only a few will manage to achieve this. Some are just on their way there.

- You must vote 5 of the directories listed.
- Just post the urls. No reason or comment needed.
- Vote on your own will. Do not try to contact other owners to make an agreement.
- Votes will be counted on Monday 25th of June 2007.
- First three directories will receive a free review on our blog, they will be added to our Complete Directory List, if they are not already there and they will be distinguished by a different color.

We have collected a number of newly launched directories and we are ready to step forward to the presentation step. During this phase all owners of the competing directories will start presenting their directories, by talking about what their directories has to offer, along with their future plans and potential. Other people who want to take place in this competition can simply state their opinion about any one of the competing directories. Please take some time to visit as many directories as you can, in order to have a full view of the competition.
This phase will last at least two days and this time can be expanded if needed, so that everyone will have a chance to write his/her opinion.

What is this? This is going to be a contest about the best, wholest, best services offered, etc new directory. We will gather some of the best newly created directories around and then we will present them to you so that you can decide which one is the best.

Web directories have been around since the beginning of the internet. They have been offering users a categorized list of sites, presenting an alternative to Search Engines. A very useful alternative indeed, because many times the results you get from a SE search returns more than just a few irrelevant links.This is because directories’ administrators have been choosing and accepting all quality sites, listing them in the appropriate category, rather than indexing all content and all URLs existing. Every webmaster owning a directory wants to make it special. Everyone wants to make his directory stand out. Competition is hard in the directory business and convincing someone to choose a given directory can be hard. It has to be unique, with useful features and some fresh new content to present to its visitors and potential customers.
